The surfaces of this coin after cleaning have not been artificially enhanced except for the addition of a thin coat of mineral oil applied with a cotton cloth. The patina is intact and has merely had the outer layer of encrustation removed.

See if you can guess the technique used to clean this coin, and the time required to get this result. Although the images have been enhanced for better presentation, all received the same enhancement and the same amount of alteration. Therefore, the differences you see are entirely attributable to the cleaning proces
